He was perfect - just perfect.
He stayed in his chrysalis for 12 days. The chrysalis began to darken last night and, this morning, there he was - a perfect butterfly.
After his wings had dried he began to show signs of wanting to fly, so I took him outside and placed him on the leaves of a Rosemary bush.
After about an hour he took off from the Rosemary - up up up into a tall bamboo plant and was last seen enjoying the mid afternoon sun on his wings.
A bit later, when I looked up at the bamboo, he had gone.
